Mancunian Tyson Fury became the new world heavyweight champion last night and celebrated by belting out an Aerosmith classic in front of the 50,000-strong crowd and dedicating it to to his pregnant wife Paris.

The 27-year-old traveller beat reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf on Saturday night, ending the Ukrainian's nine-year reign with a slick points win.

Just minutes after his win, and as he had promised, Fury grabbed the microphone and began singing, dedicating the song to his wife – who had revealed just days earlier she was expecting their third child – and the fans that have supported him over the years.

Paris, 25, looked emotional as her triumphant husband, who hails from Manchester, grabbed the microphone and serenaded her to the well-known song.

Also in the crowd at Düsseldorf's ESPRIT Arena was Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere, who was there supporting her fiancé Klitschko just two months after admitting herself into a facility to treat postpartum depression.

I really wonder if he would have sang  to her had he lost.

…or he could well have sang her a dirge…a sweet mournful song.
