Arsenal are dropping their traditional colours for the FA Cup third round clash with Liverpool this weekend.

The Gunners host the Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Emirates on Sunday in the pick of the ties.

Typically, due to both sides wearing red, Liverpool would be required to wear their away strip for the clash.

However, for the first time in their 138-year history, Arsenal will be wearing an all-white strip at home.

For the past two seasons, Mikel Arteta’s men have worn a white Adidas strip as part of a ‘No More Red’ campaign to crack down on knife crime.

The initiative was launched in 2022 and saw Arsenal wear white in FA Cup third-round games against Nottingham Forest and Oxford United.

They lost in the kit’s debut at the City Ground, before recording a 3-0 win over Oxford United a year later.

An all-new version of the kit has been released by Adidas, with images of stars like Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes shared online.

The anti-youth violence strip will not be available to purchase but a special ‘No More Red’ community t-shirt will be, with £30 of each sale going to charity partners.

Jack Ironside, who works on social inclusion for the club: “Wearing the kit on a match day that’s a moment, it’s a moment we’re proud of and it’s a statement and puts a spotlight on the issue but then to be able to really back that up with actual weekly engagement with young people that’s making a difference, not just making a statement.

“We do feel confident we can play a positive role in young people’s journeys.

“We’re not the academy, we’re not there to scout necessarily, we’re not there to find the next Bukayo or the next Emile Smith Rowe.

We are there to provide young people with opportunities off the pitch through building a connection through sport.”

Arsenal Women will wear the same strip on the 14 January when they take on Watford in the FA Cup fourth round at Meadow Park.
