The Nigeria Professional Football League board has said it will come down hard on any club that violates the broadcasting rule during the 2023/24 season.

The Chairman of the NPFL Board, Gbenga Elegbeleye, gave the warning during his opening speech at the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abuja.

Elegbeleye said Propel Sports Africa is the only authorised broadcast partner to stream the league matches live.

He, however, assured that the broadcast partner will provide clubs with all the matches, including individual analytics for each player.

“There will be no favouritism in applying the rules, no matter whose interest is at stake.

“The sole interest is the good of the league,” he stated in his speech.
