A 29-point haul from James Harden helped the Houston Rockets make it six wins on the spin after a 118-97 success against the Indiana Pacers.

The Rockets have only suffered one loss this month – against Toronto – with Ryan Anderson complementing Harden’s performance with 19 points.

The Pacers missed a host of shots, although Thaddeus Young finished with 23 points.

LaMarcus Aldridge produced the highest-scoring performance of his San Antonio career, to help the San Antonio Spurs beat the Memphis Grizzlies 104-95.

JB Bickerstaff’s debut as Grizzlies coach was a rough one, as they suffered a ninth straight defeat.

The Spurs became the first NBA team this season to win 10 home games, with Tony Parker chipping in with 10 points and five assists in his second game back since returning from injury.

The Orlando Magic ended a nine-game losing streak after a 121-108 win against the out-of-form Oklahoma City Thunder.

A big fourth quarter from Russell Westbrook – who finished with 37 points – was in vain for Oklahoma, as Aaron Gordon’s 40 points and 15 rebounds proved crucial for the Magic.

Anthony Davis was ejected for the first time in his career, as the New Orleans Pelicans suffered a 102-120 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Davis was dismissed for two technical fouls in the second quarter, with Minnesota taking full advantage to race into an unassailable 62-49 lead by half-time.

Despite Kristaps Porzingis suffering an ankle injury, the New York Knicks still managed to beat the Miami Heat 115-86.

A career-high 18 rebounds from Ben Simmons saw the Philadelphia 76ers victorious over the Washington Wizards by a 118-113 scoreline.

It was a sixth win in eight games for the 76ers, with Simons (31 points), Joel Embiid (25) and Dario Saric (24) all contributing.

The Detroit Pistons enjoyed a third straight win after Reggie Jackson’s 23 points helped them to a 131-107 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

It was the highest-scoring game of the season from the Pistons, with Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley each bagging 20 points.

Kyle Lowry’s season-high 36 points helped the Toronto Raptors beat the Charlotte Hornets 126-113.

A 15-point third quarter from DeMarre Carroll proved decisive for the Brooklyn Nets, in a 109-104 triumph over the Dallas Mavericks.

Stephen Curry nailed two quick 3-pointers at the beginning of overtime as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 127-123 after the scores were tied 109-109.

Kevin Durant was the top scorer for Golden State with 29 points, Curry added 28 and Klay Thompson 20. Curry had 13 points in overtime.

Seemed like a wrong time for Lakers to have played Warriors with Curry just returning.
