Manchester United have reportedly made a £30million offer for Benfica defender Nelson Semedo.

The right-back would be United's second defensive signing of the summer and is also an option for Barcelona.

Jose Mourinho has already spent a similar sum on Swedish centre back Victor Lindelof.

United relied on Antonio Valencia at right-back last season and Mourinho is keen to bring in an alternative.

But Barcelona could make a move for the Portuguese if they fail to sign Arsenal's Hector Bellerin.

The Spaniard is the La Liga giants' first choice and reports in Spain today claimed he has already bought a house in the Catalan city.

I really hope this isn't true. Cos i rate Semedo higher than Bellerin. We don't need another attacker masquerading as a defender in our defence. We need balance in that team. Enough of attacking-minded players.
