With the Nigeria Premier Football League moving into the business end, DAILY POST presents five key questions pre-matchday 13 games

      1. Can Enyimba end their four-game winless streak?

Nine times champions, Enyimba are winless in their last four league games. That poor run has cast doubts on the team’s chances of making the Super Six.

The People’s Elephant’s last win came on matchday eight, a 2-0 victory against Shooting Stars.

Finidi George’s side has drawn two and lost two of their last four games.

The Aba giants face Fidelis Ikechukwu’s Plateau United on Saturday (today) at the Enyimba International Stadium needing to get their campaign back on track.

      2. Who will end Bendel Insurance’s unbeaten streak?

With seven wins and five draws from 12 games, Bendel Insurance remains the only team yet to taste defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Benin Arsenals lead at the top of the Group A table has been cut to four points since the start of the second stanza.

Kwara United will attempt to do what 12 other clubs have failed to achieve this season, that is to snatch all three points from Monday Odigie’s men.

      3. Who rules the South West?

A sumptuous South West is expected when Shooting Stars host Remo Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Sunday.

Shooting Stars are in a buoyant mood heading into this fixture having won their last two games.

The Oluyole Warriors have, however, struggled in recent outings against Remo Stars.

Remo Stars won the reverse fixture 2-0 earlier in the campaign.

      4. Will Obioma and Imade rekindle their rivalry?

The two leading marksmen in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season, Chukwuemeka Obioma and Imade Osehenkhoe failed to add to their tally last weekend.

Obioma, who tops the chart with nine goals was caged in Enyimba’s 1-0 defeat to Akwa United in Uyo while Imade, who has registered eight goals so far failed to hit the net in his club’s Bendel Insurance 1-1 draw against Plateau United in Jos.

5′ Can Doma United maintain an impressive run?

The Savannah Tigers are no doubt one of the surprise packages this season. For a club making its debut in the Nigerian top flight, Akinade Onigbinde’s side has no doubt exceeded expectations.

Doma United sit in third position on the Group B table, unbeaten in their last three games (two wins and a draw).

The Gombe-based side travel to Uyo to face Dakkada this weekend desperate to maintain their position on the table.
