Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface has been nominated for Bundesliga Team of the Season, DAILY POST reports.
Though the Nigeria international’s impressive start to the season was cut short by an adductor injury, his contributions to Die Werkself’s title success cannot be undermined.
Boniface is currently Leverkusen’s joint-top scorer in the Bundesliga with 11 goals.
The 23-year-old will slug it out with Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, Serhou Guirassy, Marvin Ducksch, Jonas Wind, Niclas Füllkrug, Omar Marmoush, Ermedin Demirović, Loïs Openda and Deniz Undav for a place in attack.
The Bundesliga Team of the Season will consist of one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers.
It will be determined by the votes cast by fans, clubs and experts.
