September 2, 2021 at 9:36 am in reply to: Transfer deadline day: Mbappe to join Real Madrid for free #14063I agree with you, bro. It seems Messi’s presence is what is fuelling his departure. Whether he’ll win trophies in Madrid is anyone’s guess.
August 19, 2021 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Half Of Barcelona’s Tickets For First Game Of The Season Are Unsold #13962Half of Barcelona’s tickets for the first game of the season are unsold and 80% dropped in the sale of Jersey despite still having Messi’s name still written on the it.
This is the reality of the unfolding events at the Camp Nou following Messi’s departure. Messi desired to stay and the club desired to keep him but the Laliga financial laws dented the hope and aspirations of the two parties.
However, the tickets can still be sold to the general public but they cannot continue to sell the jersey with Messi’s written on it forever. One wouldn’t want to imagine what would happen if Messi’s name is taken of the jersey.
Also, the play on the pitch would also be affected. The Camp Nou fear factor is no longer there except if some of the players would raise their games. The league would also bear it brunt. The attraction would ceased for the time being. Sponsors might switch gaze to where the attention of people have gone to reasons being that people equal money.
Questions on mind is that, when the financial fair play was enacted for the league , where was the Barcelona’s management? Wasn’t any of the Barça players represented at the meeting or was there no meeting prior to this enactment or were they thinking they cannot be caught in the web? Gerard Pique had to consent to a last minute pay cut before two of Barca players were registerd and featured against Real Sociedel on Sunday.
This might just be the beginning of Barcelona’s ordeal.
You’re right about that, David. Things will never be the same at Barca for a long time both sporting and economic sense. It is up to the remaining players to raise their level and return the club to the summit of greatness.

I feel they need a good coach who can work with the players on ground (many of whom are average at best). We all know this day would come. It’s time to face the reality of life after Messi. It won’t change a thing mourning his exit, as painful as it is.
