InactiveArsenal forward Alex Iwobi has hailed the impact of Unai Emery.
The Nigerian claims the Spaniard has removed the fear of failure at Arsenal following the club’s tough spell towards the end of Arsene Wenger’s tenure.
The Gunners extended their winning run to ten games after comfortably seeing off Leicester City on Monday evening.
With the North London club flying in all competitions this season, Emery has enjoyed a successful start to life as a Premier League manager.
Arsenal played some scintillating football at the Emirates Stadium on Monday to continue their impressive run of form.
Iwobi attributes his side’s success to the changes the manager has made since his arrival from Ligue 1.
Iwobi said:
“The manager has imposed a new style and we are enjoying our time.
“We are enjoying each other and the chemistry is good.
“It’s not just the people who are starting but those on the bench, as well.
“It’s a team thing and we are all enjoying it.”
Speaking about how the former Paris Saint-Germain manager has improved him personally, he added:
“The manager has just given me the confidence to express myself and to believe in my ability
“In training, too, he is always letting me try new things – be positive, be direct and prove it in the games.
“It is working for me so I just have to keep it going.
“Do I feel like a better player than a year ago? I’d just say I am more confident.
“I feel that even if I make a mistake, I am able to go again.
“I think that is the difference between me last year and this year.”
Ahead of bitter rivals Spurs, currently sat fourth and two points off league leaders Manchester City, the Gunners once again look a strong force.
Emery’s side weathered an early Leicester City storm to come out on top playing some incredible football to boot.
All three of Arsenal’s goals were mesmerizing to watch with captain Mesut Ozil at the heart of their play.
The German was heavily involved in all three goals which were all so intricately worked.
Ozil netted just before the break before helping to create two goals for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
