InactiveArsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly signed a pre-agreement deal with Juventus ahead of a free transfer in the summer.
The Welshman has been the subject of interest from several clubs over the past month.
After it was revealed that Arsenal’s contract offer had been withdrawn, rumours started to swirl.
With his deal set to expire in the summer, he would be available for free from July.
He is also now able to complete a pre-agreement deal with any club following the turn of the year.
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all been linked with a move for the player.
The latter has been the most heavily linked and Juventus chief Fabio Paratici confirmed that interest this week.
‘His contract is expiring and we are always attentive to the potential developments,’ he explained.
‘Will he join us in the summer? That remains to be seen.’
Now, it looks as though they have won the race for his signature if the latest reports are to be believed.
That is because reports in Italy have claimed a pre-agreement deal has been signed.
Mediaset claim that ‘the deal is practically made’ and Ramsey will earn £145,000-a-week on a five-year deal.
With a £145,000-a-week wage, he would become the clubs second highest earner after Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the deal may not be announced until February due to ‘regulations’ according to the report.
This report was followed up by Dean Jones of the Bleacher Report who claimed while a contract has not yet been signed, Ramsey will join Juventus.
It certainly looks as though this is a case of when rather than if it will be announced.
